KWGA Scholarship Information The KWGA awards a scholarship to a deserving young woman each year. The scholarship is $1200.00. We are trying to find new ways to let college bound young women who have played golf know of this award. It is based on the following criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior in good standing in a Kansas high school, or a graduate of a Kansas high school and currently attending an accredited college. Applicant must enroll as a full-time student (12 hours per semester). Applicant must be a Junior Associate, or Associate Member of KWGA. As you can see, the player's ability is not listed as a requirement. There seems to be misunderstanding that the applicant must have won a tournament or must be playing golf in college. These are both false. You can find the applicant by clicking on this link. http://www.kwga.org/?q=scholarship_application . Please let me know if you need any other information. The KWGA website is www.KWGA.org and it has more information about the scholarship, as well as KWGA Junior events. Thanks so much for your help on this. Hey fellow golf coaches! Have I got your e-mail address yet? If not please send it to me at scurran@girard248.org . If you have any unusual situations that come up along the season please send me what happened and what the ruling was so that I can post it under the unusual instances. Also if you have any suggestions for the KCA or for the KSHSAA about the sport of golf let me know so that I can contact them. I hope that you find this information useful. I would also like to post tournament results from throughout the state, so please send me your results!
