ONE STROKE PENALTY

Rule

5-3

Not announcing in advance to opponent or fellow competitor intention to lift ball to see if it is unfit for play.

12-2

Lifting ball for identification without announcing intention in advance to oppont or fellow competitor and fiving either an opportunity to observe the lifting and replacement. Lifting ball for identificationin a hazard. Touching ball or rotating it for identification without marking it.

Striking ball more than once in the course of making a stroke.

Ball in play lifted, moved or touched purposely by player, partner or either of thier caddies. Equipment of player causing ball to move. Ball in play moving after address. Ball in play moving after any loose impediment lying within one club length of ball has been touched by player, his partner or either of their caddies. Other than during search, ball touches or moved by opponent, caddie or his equipment (Opponent incurs penalty). Replacing ball moved by wind or water. Dropping ball away from boundary stake under obstruction rule.

Not marking position of a ball to be lifted under a rule which requires that it be replaced.

TWO STROKE PENALTY

Exerting influence on abll. Flagstick lying on putting green removed by player to prevent ball from striking it. Mopping up casual water on line of play.

The penalty for breach of a rule in stroke play is two strokes except as otherwise provided.

Excess club or clubs carried: Borrowing club from any other person playing on the course (Two strokes per hole; maximum of four strokes)

Playing a stroke while another ball is in motion after a stroke on putting green. Waiting more than 10 seconds to determing whether ball overhanging hole is at rest.

Ball striking attended flagstick or attendant. Ball striking unattended glagstick in the hole when ball has been palyed from the putting green.

Ball lifted without authority dropped instead of being replaced.

Player who is required to replace a ball fails to do so, but no additional penalty under Rule 18 shall be applied.
